At Château Pédesclaux in Pauillac, the Lorenzetti family have placed environmental stewardship at the heart of the estate since acquiring it in 2009, farming the vineyards organically and, in some parcels, biodynamically while carefully restructuring and expanding the vineyard holdings. This thoughtful approach has helped reveal the distinctive Pauillac terroir, where clay soils bring depth and power while gravel lends elegance and finesse. The result is a wine of layered complexity and sensual balance, often marked by aromas of blackcurrant, violet and cigar box, with silky tannins and impressive ageing potential. With each vintage, meticulous vineyard work and state-of-the-art winemaking allow the wine to express its own character while remaining unmistakably Pauillac.
