Planted by the Cobb family between the years 1989-1998, Coastlands Vineyard is one of the most westerly planted Pinot Noir sites in Sonoma County. Originally established by David and Diane, their son Ross Cobb now farms the estate where he lives with his wife and daughter.
The 2023 Cobb Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is a blend sourced from five distinct vineyards, designed to showcase the best of the cool-climate Sonoma Coast region. The blend primarily features fruit from Doc’s Ranch, Abigail’s, Emmaline Ann, Hopen, and Mes Filles vineyards. This wine is an absolute pleasure, showing fruit up front with lots of red notes on the palate and classic structure and acidity that has become a hallmark for Cobb Wines. Though it will age for years like all of Ross’s wines, this bottling can be thoroughly enjoyed the year it is released.
