Tasting note

Chambolle-Musigny is prized for perfume and finesse, and this 2022 shows exactly why. The colour is a bright, translucent ruby. The nose opens with red cherry, wild strawberry and crushed raspberry, followed by violets, rose petal and a hint of warm spice.

On the palate it is silky and finely detailed, with the seamless, aromatic texture the village does so well. Ripe red fruit sits alongside a touch of cranberry freshness, while a delicate mineral thread runs through the middle. The tannins are soft and fine-grained, and the vintage brings a generous, rounded character without losing the lift that keeps Chambolle so elegant.

Fresh acidity carries the fruit through to a long, gently savoury finish, with lingering floral notes, forest floor complexity and a whisper of sweet spice that invites another sip.
