Clement Bartschi is harnessing his winemaking talent with the diverse terroir of Manicle to create a spicy, serious style of Pinot that many more experienced winemakers would be proud of. Fine tannins and great concentration point to a wine that will age very nicely. A serious, savoury Pinot that balances spicy notes from the use of stems with dark cherry and red plum fruit characters.

Domaine Bartschi

Clément Bärtschi represents a new wave of winemakers who blend classic craftsmanship with fresh perspectives, particularly in lesser-known regions. Having spent his childhood on his grandparents' farm in Bugey, Clément returned to the area after studying enology and viticulture, honing his skills with legends like Romanée-Conti and M. Chapoutier. In 2019, he acquired a two-hectare plot in Manicle, a hidden gem at the foot of the Jura mountains, cultivating organic Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. With traditional Burgundian methods, Clément handpicks his grapes and ferments them in aged oak barrels. His journey promises exciting wines ahead.
