Description

A fruity and elegant Riesling Kabinett from the Krötenpfuhl vineyard, where warm loess loam soil rich in small quartzite pebbles, combined with southern exposure, warms quickly and encourages early flowering, while the loess loam subsoil holds water well to keep the vines hydrated in dry years and the gravelly soil keeps the berries small, allowing exceptionally fine aromas, zesty acidity and slow, full ripening. Fermented and matured in several small stainless steel tanks to preserve those aromas and acidity, it shows distinctive herbal spicy notes unfolding in beautiful harmony with refined, zesty fruit sweetness, a perfect expression of Krötenpfuhl's terroir. Lovely as an aperitif, with seafood, or alongside aromatic Thai or Chinese cuisine.
