Description

Kristian (son of Edi) farms 12 hectares on the western side of the hill (Collio) along with 2 hectares just over the border in Brda, Slovenia. Grapes are predominantly Tocai Friulano with Malvasia and Ribolla Gialla. Skin contact gives this an attractive pithy bitterness. Subtle tannins add superb length and complexity. Pair it with Prosciutto di San Daniele.

Edi Keber

Edi's son Kristian Keber farms 14ha across Collio (Italy) and Brda (Slovenia), focusing on Tocai Friulano, Malvasia, and Ribolla Gialla, with extensive skin contact winemaking. Vineyards are fully biodynamic and organic, using permaculture grasses, grazing animals, and natural soil management to enhance biodiversity and fertility. Livestock rotation replaces mowing, while nearby forest provides shelter. A new gravity-fed cellar in Brda, built without mains electricity or water, reflects a deep commitment to sustainability and low-impact winemaking.
