On the palate, the wine opens with a silky, oily texture before transitioning into sweeter tropical fruit, the nine months in older oak having added a quiet, seamless depth without imposing itself on the wine's natural expressiveness. Fine, spiced tannins from the skin contact provide structure and intrigue, while the acidity is bright and racy, keeping the wine fresh and animated through to a long, citrus-oil finish.
