Description

Glencadam Reserva PX Single Malt Scotch Whisky is carefully crafted in small batches. From Glencadam's historic dunnage warehouses, the Master Distiller has selected single malt matured in exceptional ex-bourbon American oak casks. The whisky in these casks has then been expertly married and finished in hand-selected Pedro Ximénez Sherry butts sourced from Andalucía, Spain.

The nose reveals rich aromas of Christmas pudding, dried figs and dark chocolate bound with cedar and clove spices. On the palate, sweet layers of maple syrup, treacle toffees and prunes mingle with maraschino cherries, brandy butter and Black Forest gateau. The finish delivers warming impressions of cinder toffee, fruit cake and crystallised ginger, gradually fading into a linger of cherry jam and espresso coffee.

Glencadam

Glencadam is located in the Eastern Highlands of Scotland. The distillery opened in 1825. Since then, little has changed their award-winning Single Malt Scotch Whisky is still produced using the same traditional and handcrafted production methods as it has done for almost 200 years.
All their age statement whiskies are bottled at 46% and are neither chill filtered nor coloured to retain the whisky's natural characteristics. Unusually, Glencadam’s stills have lyne arms that run upwards at an angle of 15 degrees, this encourages significant reflux which helps to produce a single malt which is characterised by its tropical and orchard fruit flavours.
