This wine, called Picolit, has been deemed the "wine of meditation" by Veronelli. Its rediscovery is credited to the Perusini Family, who cultivated and selected it on the Colli Orientali and introduced it to the world beyond Friuli.
Picolit has a beautiful intense golden yellow colour and a complex aroma of orange peel, apricot, fig, candied fruits, citrus, acacia, and spice. On the palate, it is sweet, balanced, and articulate.
Picolit can be enjoyed on its own after a meal or paired with pate or blue cheese, similar to Sauternes. It is recommended to serve it at a temperature of 14-16°C.
