A nod to the celebrity Winemaker Dermot’s Irish heritage, this is a multi-vintage, solera aged Chardonnay from the Sugrue team, exclusive to Indigo. A very complex wine underpinned with their hallmark citrussy, saline freshness.
The Salt of the Earth range is, to put it simply, a passion project from three good friends. When wine writer Jamie Goode, Zalto importer Daniel Primack, Sourcing Table founder Ben Henshaw and winemaker Dermot Sugrue got together for dinner one night in late 2017, their conversation flowed on to discussing their love for saline, terroir-driven whites. Then a lightbulb moment occurred: their own barrel projects.
