Tasting note

Jean's Plan is an extraordinary achievement that will reward those who have patience and wait for it to mature in the cellar. The rich and unctuous texture perfectly blends with the sweet fruitiness and mineral flavours of the Chenin Blanc variety. The bright yellow colour with strong reflections is stunning to the eyes. The bouquet is complex with aromas of toasted nuts, herbs, straw and winter pear notes. The botrytised character is present, which showcases sweet, ripe fruit on the nose. The palate has a perfect balance of sugar and acid, where sugar is present but never overpowering. It pairs excellently with foie gras, shellfish, chocolate, or fruity desserts.

Founded in 1936, in the AOC Vouvray, when the Girardières castle and the Clos de Pinchat were cultivated by Gérald Bruley des Varannes. Today, Gérald’s grandson, Charles and his wife Menehould Lesaffre own Domaine des Aubuisières and are committed to managing the Estate and the trading company with the desire to reveal the best of Chenin Blanc through innovation while respecting history and the terroir.
