Spicy and peppery, with berry fruit and the first hints of tertiary aromas, forest floor and truffle. The palate has clout, elegance and freshness, carried by the fine tannins that mark the 2021 vintage. Ripe yet balanced, this is classic Rioja from one of the finest recent vintages.

86% Tempranillo, 8% Graciano, 4% Mazuelo and 2% Garnacha from the Ygay Estate's limestone and clay soils. Each plot is vinified separately in stainless steel, aged for 26 months in American oak, then blended and rested in concrete before bottling.

Serve with slow-roast lamb, grilled ribeye or aged Manchego.
