Description

A blend of ten hand-selected Sonoma vineyards, led by Zinfandel alongside Carignane, Petite Sirah, Mataro and Alicante Bouschet, made using the same painstaking methods Ridge applies to its single vineyard wines, with hand harvested fruit, native yeast fermentation and open top tanks. Expect a generous nose of ripe cherry, plum and blackberry, lifted with florals, baking spice and a whisper of liquorice, while gentle ageing in American oak brings warmth and toast without overpowering the fruit. The palate is medium bodied and beautifully balanced, with smooth, fine grained tannins, bright acidity and a long, spicy finish. Versatile and food friendly, this is a red for grilled meats and barbecue, or simply drinking on its own, and it's showing beautifully now with plenty of room to develop further.
